A beautifully designed range of cameras made in Jena, East(ern) Germany from 1954 to 1968. These have many unique features, but most notable is that the film is wound on by a twist grip mechanism on the lens. Also notable are the superb clean lines with no visible external screw heads. The lens cover has a removable screw cap, which when removed allows the cover to turn round and become a lens hood. I have three models, the Werra 1, the Werramatic (with a coupled rangefinder) and the Werra 3 (rangefinder and interchangeable lenses).
